Day 19 - Somewhere in the North Atlantic Ocean - July 12

Follow our journey on this map.

Day 19 started out to be a great day at Skagafjordur. The ship was coming in slowly toward the harbor. We got close. The anchor dropped. The anchor was raised. The ship started turning. Then the announcement: with sustained winds over 25mph and gusts to 45mph it was just too dangerous to try to navigate in the small harbor and too rough to use the tenders to take people ashore. So, we just moseyed out slowly and headed out to sea toward the next port.

All was not lost (for us anyway) because we were in this same port just a few days ago. Queue the naps!

The French Chefs Table was on our agenda and it did not disappoint. There were only 8 guests at our table and it was an eclectic mix and a whole lot of fun.

So, the only photos are of the menu and food!

Hopefully tomorrow we will be able to pull into port.
