Day 3 brought temperatures in the high 60s; stark contrast to the high 80s from yesterday. But crystal clear skies again.
Having been drained from the travel and touring yesterday, we got a late start and arrived just in time to enjoy our Secret Food Tour introduced to us by our friends Morey and Michelle Raiskin. Boy was it a great time. We stopped at 5 different food places sampling unique Dutch foods. I took pictures of 4 of them (below) but missed taking a photo at the next to last stop because I was too busy eating! The guide was engaging and gave us as much history insight as she did food secrets.
The afternoon was spent looking for fabric for Mae to bring home followed by a 2-hour walking tour of the Jewish District. We got an indepth historical perspective of Anne Frank's life and found that being in the places where it all happened gave it more context.
After walking over 9 miles, and not returning to the hotel during the day, we sank into soft seating at the Marriott, had a quick bite to eat, followed by a bourbon of course, and then off to bed.
