Day 10 was spent in Seyðisfjörður, Iceland. It's a tiny village at the end of a stunning fjord. It was founded in the 1800s by Norwegian fisherman and is said that the architecture is reminiscent of that era. There are some huge waterfalls here and a great nature preserve where people saw puffins up close and personal.
What did we do? Just about nothing. We did not have an excursion planned, so we got up, had breakfast, went and worked out (yoga and cycling), visited our "private" sauna on the bow of the ship and then went to the steam room.
We did disembark to look at the village. The highlight that all tour references mention is the "Blue Church." It did not disappoint. It was built in 1882, had been moved a few times, suffered a fire during repair.
We did find a very cool local pub that had great food. I had a cod fillet with herbs cooked in a foil pouch with lots of butter. It did not disappoint! Of course we had to have a Gull beer to wash it down.
