Day 7 - St. Francisville/Baton Rouge - April 10

Follow our journey on this map.

We knew that a major storm front was moving through on Tuesday night. That’s why we sailed past St. Francisville and went on to Baton Rouge where there was more secure mooring. We didn’t know that had we docked in St. Francisville, we would have been in the dead center of the impact.

The ship kept us well-informed about the status of the storm and our excursions. We loaded in the pouring rain and driving wind and sat on the bus for about 15 minutes before they cancelled all trips. Back off the bus we went through the rain and back to the ship.

It’s these things that make the memories. We thought it was a blast. Others didn’t.

The weather cleared about 3PM and will be perfect on Thursday.
