Day 22 found us back in Seydisfjordur. We really should have thought more about taking this cruise as a back-to-back around Iceland. It's a wonderful country but we're running out of new things to see and do...
But today we just walked around some neighborhoods looking at houses and neighborhoods. After a rough day yesterday--wind and waves--we needed something easy for lunch. So we went to our favorite restaurant in Seyðisfjörður (who gets to say that?) for their baked cod and salad. It did not disappoint but it did take a little while for the food to come. We needed something to munch on to go with the pub's own labeled beer so we grabbed a bag of chips. Because the bag cost $4 US we ate absolutely every crumb!
The photo of the ship shows some context for the ability of these small ships to pull right up to the main downtown dock. It was no more than 100 yards for us to get to the city center from the boat.
Food photos are back! Dinner was an amuse-bouche of smoked salmon, avacado puree, and tomato puree. The starter was a lobster bisque followed by sea bass. Having enough rich food, lemon sorbet seemed to fit the bill.
